Went to Bandra Band Street

Hi to all,

After i came to Mumbai, i have started to go out from office in weekends. Last Sunday, i went to Bandra Band Street where Bollywood industry is accommodating. And yesterday is one more special day i.e Mary mother’s Birthday. So Bandra people were celebrating in several churches there. So crowd was heavy. Might you may heard Bandra Girls are hot in the city even in our nation. Thats really true, they are very hot. Youngsters can enjoy the place a lot. Obviously i enjoyed a lot.

Then i went to fashion street, this is the place in mumbai to purchase brandy clothes for cheapest price. But you should be a master in bargaining. One of my room met purchased Original Diesel Jeans pant for just Rs.400/-. Even we did not bargain well.

Then i went to Marine drive for second time to just relax. It is the place where more cine shoots are happening.

but finally we have tired a lot and back to room.

Simple Array Comparison in Ruby

Here is a simple method to compare two arrays using Ruby, few examples:

> [1,2,3] <=> [1,2,3]
=> 0
> [1,2,3] <=> [2,2,3]
=> -1
> [1,2,3] <=> [3,2,3]
=> -1
> [1,2,3] <=> [1,3,3]
=> -1
> [1,2,3] <=> [1,1,3]
=> 1

By use of Terinary Operator (<=>), we can acheive the simple method to compare two arrays of comparison.

install gems by .gem files

To install gems by .gem files use the below command on command prompt or terminal.

Note: To download .gem files for a specific gem, do a search in rubyforge.org

gem install –install-dir PATH library_name

then the output will like this
Successfully installed library_name.version
1 gem installed

Set Environment variable for Ruby in Windows

Hi,

Herewith i am starting to post some wonderful tips related to RUBY Programming Language. Welcome to Ruby Thinkers (i.e Developers)

Let you know, every one knew to install Ruby in Windows, with the one click installer file. Dont install again, If some already installed on your machine with their login. Its better to add few ENV variables on your login too!

Few ENV variables, what are they?

PATH and PATHEXT, you can add these ENV variables either by GUI or command wise. In GUI based, you should go to environment variables settings i.e under System Properties => Advanced Tab => Environment Variables. You can add the variables easily.

Another way i.e setting values to the environment variables, from your Command Prompt. Use the below commands to acheive it.

set PATH=C:\ruby\bin;%PATH%

set PATHEXT=.rb;%PATHEXT%

Note: the ENV. PATH value should be your destined ruby bin folder, in my case its in C: drive.

You can verify the ENV variables by use of just “set” command. It list out all the ENV variables on your windows machine.

Since i was busy with officially and personally for the past few months, i could not continue the “Week Passions”. But should be back to my passion very soon.

And I like to share… Me and colleagues were went for Malaysia as a Vacation Trip exactly from 8th may to 17th may. That was a wonderful trip which we ever gone and that is the first time ever crossed the ocean and left my country to another. I really enjoyed it.

Twin Tower & Gokul

As a memorable thing, I bought a Sony Handy cam DVD-610 for RM880, which is around Rs.13000/- ( as per currency conversion rate on that day ). Here in India, it costs around Rs.20000/- And i likes the camera very much, its 40X optical zoom, hybrid memory storagable, etc.,

I got an opportunity to fly on para-glide and G-ForceX in Malaysia. Its costlier but worth it.

For the next few weeks also i am busy with work, so probably i could not update/continue my passions.

Contrast colour Full hand Shirts

As I mentioned in my previous post, met with an minor bike accident and injured on my right knee. This week it was regress the pain. Its healing very slow. I am applying soframycin, coconut oil but it should not heal quick.

Finally Pradeep, Paddy, Nandhu and Me were got the VISA for Malaysia on this week wednesday. Preparing for Malaysia Trip.

Half Arm Shirts

Right back to active like a small boy by wearing half arm shirts which include short shirts and dressed up with paintings. And i have clean shaved this week. People encourged me, thats i’m looks smart, good and different.

Sathiyan ( one of my colleague ) took some snaps on outside of BroadSpire Office. This week pretty good on work too! thats I have finished my long pending task i.e loading cc info for ww ip orders.

I have taken a passport photograph with the limitations of Malaysian Visa. That looks very tired on my face.

At the end of week i couldnt get good sleep, because roamed to bring my passport from my home town, Arni. I met with an bike skidding while returning to home from office, since i havent slept well. So everyone should need some sleep for a day, otherwise some unconsious thing may happen. Take care of your health. I’m praying God, to cure my knee injury soon. Because we have planned to go Malaysia Trip from 9-5-2009 to 17-5-2009.

Collared T-shirts

White and Blue Combinations

Hey this week i passioned with white and blue combinations. Not a great week and all, as usual nothing special. Permission denied to go Malaysia trip by the Office Management. But our team looks eagarly to go. And we pulling Sriram to join on this. Since, he doesnt get approval he is not willing to join with us. I couldnt able to publish my passionable photos respectively, but I have the snaps on my collegues mobile. A day will come to collect all of those and decorate this blog.

Same Plain Colors

This week i dressed up with same colors like black shirt and black pant without any styles. That is plain costume. This as usual nothing much special. Searched for requirements to apply Malaysia Visa. Next we’ll prepare those req. to apply visa for the trip. We doesnt had holiday for “Good Friday” on Apr 11 2009, its unhappy on end of week.

Related to work: Mostly went with the conference call for estimation tasks.
